X2 iTablet

Apple may have chosen the iPad name for their upcoming tablet device, however, the iTablet name is not quite dead.  It looks like British firm X2 will be using the name for a not yet released… if you guessed tablet, you’re right.

The iTablet will be everything the iPad is not.  From the Windows operating system, to the supported flash plugins, this thing is more computer than the iPad ever will be, at least at introduction of each.  Also, don’t forget about the iTablet’s 250 GB hard drive, and Atom processor, not to mention the 10.1″ or even 12.1″ LCD screens.  Finally, a simple feature that is near and dear to any geek’s heart is a USB port, and this device will get 3 of them.  Wireless connectivity will include WiFi, and optional 3G.

Expect the iTablet to be available this April.
