The Nokia Booklet 3G is at once a well designed piece of hardware, and oh so overpriced. In other words, many want it, but aren’t willing to pay the price of admission. Over at Nokia Mobile Blog, they spotted a Best Buy Rewards Zone ad that clues us into the pricing and the release date.
The Booklet 3G is coming on November 15th, which is next Sunday, which I’m guessing matches up with the upcoming circular. The unsubsidized price is $599, which is crazy overpriced for any netbook. With a 2 year data contract, the price comes in at a more reasonable $299, however due to the $60 monthly fee, this is really only a good deal if the plan was to subscribe to data anyway.
In the meantime, price aside, I have to admit that Nokia’s take on the netbook does have some sharp design cues.
