Samsung seems to be ready to move forward with their AMOLED netbook. The model, which is currently being displayed as a prototype at FPD 2009 in Japan appears to be ready to go into production in Q1 of 2010.
The netbook is currently sporting a 7-inch WSVGA AMOLED display that offers a 1024 x 600 resolution. Additionally that display offers 16.7M color depth, 300 cd/m2 brightness and a 100,000:1 contrast ratio.
According to netbooked, who happened to be at the show and catch this model in real life state that;
“Viewing angles aren’t mentioned in the specs but they were very good. The display was very crisp, bright and the colors were eye popping, a huge difference from the (relatively) washed out screens on current netbooks / laptops (the cheap ones)”
Sadly though we are still waiting on more details such as what we can expect in terms of the processor, RAM, hard drive and operating system. Not to mention the price.
