Lessons From the Amazon Bestselling List

Asus, Netbooks

Amazon sells a lot of stuff. The online retailer sells just about everything under the sun, and they certainly sell their share of netbooks. You may not realize it, but you can also figure out which are the bestselling products in each category. While this may not necessarily be the best product for you, it is often a good starting point to check out the gear that the most people were willing to part with their cash for.

Over at Amazon, there has been a changing of the guard.  Previously, the Asus 1000HE had topped the list.  However, for the last 10 days, the Asus 1005 is the new champ.  Guess users want the seashell design after all.  Or maybe it is that faster (by a hair) 1.66 GHz Atom N280 processor, or the claimed 10.5 hour battery life that is causing users to go for the newer model.  In the meantime, it is useful to see that the Acer D150 is the top selling netbook that is not made by Asus.
