Everyone loves a deal, and that comes especially sweet when that deal is on a Mini 2140 netbook from HP. Anyway, PC Mall is currently offering the HP Mini 2140 (model number KS143UT#ABA) for $299.99. All things considered, that price by itself is pretty nice, however you also get a slip case as well as an extra 1GB RAM stick thrown in for free.
Of course, there is a slight catch here. That price comes after not one but two mail-in-rebates — one of which is for $50 and the other for $20. Ultimately that means you will pay $369.99 on the day of purchase, however assuming you fill out your rebates in a timely manner, then it should come back to you.
As far as specs, the Mini 2140 features a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 576, an 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g draft-n, Bluetooth 2.0, a 3-cell battery and is running Windows XP Home.
