Samsung historically has not released much in the way of pc’s here in the US. I always thought that was a mistake, as I enjoy some of their other consumer electronics, such as their LCD TV’s and their laser printers.
The N110 is their latest effort. The specs are similar to most of the netbook market:
- 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor
- 1GB of RAM
- 10.2″ LCD
- 160GB 5,400 rpm hard drive
- Windows XP Home Service Pack 3
- 802.11b/g wifi
- Bluetooth 2.0
What makes this netbook stand out from the pack? The first is that it has a seven hour battry life, making it one of the longer performing netbooks which should make it coveted for road warriors that want to keep moving without being tied to an outlet. Unfortunately, the other “feature” is that it is significantly more expensive than some other units as it will retail at $469 next month.
