Today, a new class of netbooks was spotted over at Dell. They are the Latitude 2100 series. While not all is known, they are expected to use an Intel Atom 1.6 GHz chip, support up to 2 gigs of RAM, support an option SSD, and weigh in under 3 pounds. From the cute color names, like “School Bus Orange,” and “Red Apple” it is expected that they will be for the educational market.
The expected price of “less than $600″ sounds somewhat high unless there’s more going on here. Expect to see them debut late Spring in time for the back to school season.
