It looks like everyone is getting into the netbook business these days. Velocity Micro, better known for higher end gaming rigs has announced that they will shipping a netbook this Spring. The specs seem pretty standard for this market segment:
- 10.1″ LCD screen, 1024 x 600
- Intel Atom N270 processor
- Windows XP Home
- 1 gig RAM
- 3 USB ports
- 3 in 1 media card reader
- Webcam, 1.3 mp
- WiFi
- 2.6 lbs
- 4 cell battery, 5 hours runtime
The specs overall are fairly pedestrian and nothing to get excited about. Add in the fairly standard price of $379 that is expected, and nothing seriously stands out here.
